Start-up India, Stand-up India: More than a Slogan
The slogan “Startup India and Standup India” exclaimed by the Prime Minister Narender Modi on 15th August 2015, from the Red Fort is going to be instituted into an action plan on 16 January, 2016. It is expected that a new ecosystem for the start-ups will be formulated with the help of this new campaign. So let’s have a detailed look at this.

India is ranked 3rd globally in number of start-ups with more than 4000 start-ups. India is also the world’s youngest nation with 72% founders below 35 years age. In the year 2015 $5 Billion funding has drifted into Indian start-ups this year and expected to increase with this new action plan. Thus there is huge potential in Indian start-ups to revolutionize India’s economy.
Objective resides in the slogan itself:
The complete aim of this new structure resides in the slogan itself. The objective of the campaign is to give power to the ideas of the youth and create a friendly environment for the new entrepreneurs. With this programme Indian government also wants to push India’s start-up culture (full of potential) to greater heights which will indeed definitely boost country’s economy.

Be it manufacturing, service sector or agriculture, this new initiative will bring in new ideas, new ways, and new innovations. The main stress of this programme will also be to promote bank financing for startup ventures and offer incentives to boost entrepreneurship and job creation.
