CEO plays one of the most exuberant and challenging role in a startup. In real terminology CEO may mean Chief Executive Officer but in a startup CEO is Chief Everything Officer and the word includes all responsibilities of company like vision, team building, management, development, leadership etc. CEO holds an apex responsibility startup and have power to turn impossible to possible. CEO role in a startup can be categorized into some fundamental points.

1. Visionary

It's one of the important responsibility of CEO to plan and think about future and working upon the future plans clearly.  He/she also has role to set companies vision because without the vision an organisation is just a troop chasing individual dreams. Not compulsory, but it's good especially for tech startups that CEO is a developer. He would have knowledge of coding and can support his technical team as per their needs. There can be hundreds of technical complications that might arise which a non tech CEO won't understand at all. For tech startups with small team, CEO must be a developer as well.
