Best Travel Agency in Dubai

Do you know that Dubai is home to the world’s tallest skyscraper or that has one of the busiest international airports?  Dubai is one of the finest destinations for overseas visitors, but there seem to be some inhibitions about Dubai.  These misconceptions may be about the culture, the climate, the cost or worse about the presence (or absence) of tourist attractions in and around Dubai.

Let’s start with the cost.

Often Dubai is named as one of the world’s most expensive cities.  But there are economical options with regard to travel accommodation and dine.  The city is about to play host to Expo 2020 and budgetary options are likely to boom.  Metered taxis and metro offer ride options much cheaper than international counterparts and cheap hotels are abound in Al Muraqqabat Road and Al Rigga Road in Deira.

Cultural heritage

Dubai is a unique blend of modernity and traditional Islamic culture.  Beyond those shopping malls and tall layouts, you also have Etihad Museum, Dubai Museum and the Sheikh Mohammed Centre of Cultural Understanding.  For contemporary art visit Alsekal Avenue or the Dubai Opera.

What about the food?  Can I booze?

Dubai is a fine amalgamation of not just cultures but also food.  You will be surprised with the variety in cuisine.  From budgetary ethnic food to fine French dining to traditional Emirati cuisine, the options are multitude.  Contrary to expectations, you will be surprised to know that alcohol is available in bars and restaurants.  Most bars have happy hours, ladies night etc., where one can enjoy free drink.  The legal age for drinking is 21 and don’t forget to carry your age proof if you plan to quench.

Is there a dress code?  Should I wear any traditional dress?

Dubai is cosmopolitan in outlook.  More than 85% of the population is expats.  Shorts and Tees are fine at many places.  Even bikini is ok at the pool or beach.  So you can impress your partner at the brunch with glitz.  The malls and mosques are some places where you should respect the local Islamic culture and dress modestly.  (Modest dressing means that the shoulders and knees should be covered)

Development that is real – not mere eloquence

No one speaks about development in Dubai.  It happens naturally and at a fast pace.  Dubai is not just oil.  The economy has diversified to become more of a tourism, trade or financial hub.  Government is working to make self-driving cars, flying drone taxis and 3D organ printing a reality.   A supersonic transport system to traverse between Dubai and Abu Dhabi in less than 12 minutes is also under development.

Theme parks for kids and adults too

Four major theme parks were opened in Dubai recently.  IMG Worlds of Adventure is the world’s largest indoor theme park.  Motiongate is the region's largest immersive Hollywood-inspired theme park. Discover a thrilling journey where you play the hero with rides based on blockbusters such as Madagascar and Ghostbusters and more. Scheduled to open in 2019, Six Flags Dubai will feature a number of record-breaking roller coasters, unique thrill experiences, incredible live shows and more.

Is it safe especially for ladies to travel alone?

UAE is the second safest country in the world.  Dubai is probably safer than your home city.  Street crimes are a rarity.  It is safe to hire taxis at night, even for lonely ladies.  A walk around is also fine.  The only big threat comes from the reckless drivers who ignore pedestrian crossings.

Best time to visit

Probably you’ve guessed the climate in Dubai right.  It’s either hot or too hot.  But between November and March in what is classified as winter season, you may experience perfect beach weather across the city.  It’s rainy season here, but you won’t have that much of rain to affect your travel plans.  The few showers too don’t last long.

No display of public affection

You love your partner very much.  Today is your birthday and she gives you a beautiful gift on the restaurant.  You want to kiss her.  A big NO.  Public display of affection (PDA) is an offence in Dubai.  Don’t ever get entangled in prison as many visitors have been arrested for PDA.

Book your flights and accommodation fairly early

Dubai is a very attractive destination and don’t plan for last minute departures.  To make yourself comfortable plan and book flights and accommodation fairly early even before 6 months.  That way you can get accommodation of choice and craft out a better itinerary.  You can also take the assistance of tour and Travel Agency in Dubai such as Hashtag Tourism for hassle-free tour and comfortable travel plans.
